Above normal temperatures around 105 degrees occurred in central Pima County causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached on August 8th. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for two adult males, one near Sells and another 15 miles southeast of Santa Rosa.
