Event narrative (NOAA)
Above normal temperatures occurred in eastern Pima County on July 21st. The Tucson International Airport recorded a high temperature of 104 degrees after a morning low of 81. Green Valley topped out at 103 degrees. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for one female found in the desert southeast of Ryan Field.
