Event narrative (NOAA)
High pressure aloft brought in dry conditions and extreme temperatures to the San Diego County deserts from June 3-5. Ocotillo Wells reported temperatures of 111 on June 3 and 110 on June 4. One man died on June 4th from a heat-related illness.
