Event narrative (NOAA)
A 7-month old girl succumbed to her injuries after she was left in the back seat of a car. Her father realized she was unconscious only after he had been driving, and called 911 at 1720 LST. She was taken to Arizona Medical Center where she was pronounced dead a short time later. It is not clear how long the baby was in the car, but it may have been as long as 8 hours. The high temperature was 89 degrees with a relative humidity of 26%.
