Event narrative (NOAA)

An elderly man died at a Rockford hospital from heat related heart problems. Several people were treated and released for heat related problems. The high temperature reached 94 degrees on August 1st and 93 degrees on August 2nd. Heat indices reached 100 to 105 degrees both days.
