Heavy rains from Hurricane Irma on the 10th and 11th cause water levels to rise on the Imperial River in southern Lee county to rise, resulting in flooding of hundreds of homes in Imperial Bonita Estates and the surrounding areas. ||Flood damage from Irma in Lee County was roughly estimated at $500 million.
