Event narrative (NOAA)

Heavy rain during the end of April into the beginning of May caused the Cache River to rise above flood stage. Numerous roads were closed and/or damaged. Some homes sustained minor damage. One man drowned while attempting to check on his flooded home. He became disorientated and could not tell where the road and the flood waters were. He drove his vehicle into a flooded ditch as a result.
