Event narrative (NOAA)
Heavy rainfall in excess of 10-15 inches produced flash flooding which later transitioned to a flood event across Gibson County. The North Fork Forked Deer quickly rose to record levels. Water spilled out of its banks and flooded areas near Trenton and Milan. Numerous homes and businesses were flooded as a result.
