Event narrative (NOAA)

LA 120 near Flora was barricaded due to flooding. A 72 year old male ran the barricades and continued for approximately one mile before his vehicle stalled in high water. He then left his vehicle and continued on foot until he disappeared according to witnesses. A rescue team with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriffs Office found the man drowned. It is not know if he stepped into a hole or was swept off the road by the current.
