Event narrative (NOAA)
Thunderstorms produced heavy rain that led to flash flooding sending San Pedro Creek out of its banks near Furnish Ave. and S. San Marcos St. San Antonio firefighters were called to the scene to execute a high-water rescue. They recovered a man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police stated a jogger or walker was pulled into the creek by the high water.
