Event narrative (NOAA)

Heavy rain moved over Molokai and led to numerous impacts. A landslide closed road from mile marker 7 to 12 at Kamehameha V Highway with flood water, mud, and boulders up to 4 feet deep. Kamehameha V Highway was then closed from Kapaakea Loop eastward due to flooding. On March 22 early in the morning, homes and vehicles in the Kalamaula Homesteads became flooded from heavy rain and thunderstorms. Residents also reported leaking roofs and lost goods, appliances, and other property damages.
