Event narrative (NOAA)

Heavy rain from the slowly moving remnants of Imelda produced flooding across portions of Orange County. The first report in the county was of FM 105 impassable with water entering many homes in Vidor. The highest storm total in Orange County was 31.68 inches near Mauriceville. Close to a thousand homes were flooded.
