Event narrative (NOAA)

Newspaper reports show that a body of a man was recovered near the 700 block of Camaron in San Pedro Creek. The body was recovered early on Friday morning but the man drowned early Thursday morning as he and a friend were skateboarding in the creek drainage tunnel. Heavy rain caused a surge a water down the tunnel and both men were swept down the creek. One person was able to save himself.
