Event narrative (NOAA)

Thunderstorms produced heavy rain that caused flash flooding with water rescues in D'Hanis and Yancy. There were also a number of roads closed. An 18 year old girl died when her vehicle was swept away on FM 2200 near Devine. She was returning from her prom and was within two miles of her home.
