Event narrative (NOAA)

Over ten inches of rain fell overnight in Alexandria and Pineville, resulting in widespread urban flooding. Over 200 water rescues were performed where people were trapped in their homes filling with water, and at least 1000 autos were flooded. At least 450 homes and 150 businesses were flooded.
