Hot temperatures 6 to 9 degrees above normal were experienced in the Tucson Metro Area June 11 and June 12, causing the Major Heat Risk category to be reached. The high temperature in Tucson was 108 degrees on June 11 and 109 on June 12. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary factor in the death of one individual found in their residence in Tucson on June 11 and a contributing factor in the death of another individual on June 11.
