Event narrative (NOAA)

An extended period of hot weather lead to partner actions being taken and multiple heat related fatalities. High temperatures reached 101 to 108 in Portland between August 13 to 16. Low temperatures only fell to 68 to 73 on those days. Multnomah County reported six suspected heat-related deaths in Portland.
