Event narrative (NOAA)
High temperatures in the 100 to 105 degree range, combined with humidity, produced afternoon and early evening heat indices in the 102 to 107 degree range. Overnight low temperatures were in the upper 70s to lower 80s. There were three heat related deaths reported.
