Event narrative (NOAA)

An 87-year old male died from hypothermia near the Alum Rock neighborhood of San Jose on the morning of December 20, with hypertensive cardiovascular disease as a contributing factor. The low temperature at San Jose International Airport that day was 60, but this is likely to be warmer than the temperature in areas of San Jose away from the downtown core.
