Event narrative (NOAA)

A 17 year old was swimming in the American River in Rancho Cordova, at the Elmanto river access point. He went under the water and never surfaced; however, the body was recovered. CNRFC gauges near Rancho Cordova had water temperatures in the low to mid 60s.
