Event narrative (NOAA)
A fatality occurred in an unheated house in Jackson due to hypothermia. An elderly male was found in the house. Over 250 water broken water mains were reported around the City of Jackson. There were issues with water mains at rural homes around the county as well. Hinds County was the hardest hit county from this cold event.
