Event narrative (NOAA)

Several hours of blowing snow and wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph occurred across Western Chippewa county. Although only two to four inches of snow fell between 3 am and 3 pm across the county, strong winds of 30 to 40 mph, with gusts to 50 mph, caused several hours of blizzard conditions with wind chills as low as 20 below zero.
