Event narrative (NOAA)

Flathead County Search and Rescue personnel reported a large avalanche on the back side of Big Mountain Ski Resort. Two skiers were killed and one was injured. The avalanche was initiated by another skier who was skiing out of bounds in an area closed to skiing.
